TUFTING CLASS: Beginner Tufting - Pet Portrait

Create a furry pet portrait worthy of your velcro dog or your terrible cat (we have two). We'll spend our time shooting yarn out of a gun into fabric to create some amazing wall hangings in the likeness of your friend. When we receive your order, we'll send you a request for a photo of your pet from our email: info@uglybaby.shop. Add it to your contacts to ensure it makes it to your inbox. Once we receive your photo, we'll simplify the image to make it easy to tuft & transfer it onto the canvas for you. 

• You will be using a frame that has approximately 26 x 26 inches of workable area. It's big & you don't have to use the whole space.
  
  
• We will focus on getting comfortable using the tufting gun.
  
  
• We will use acrylic yarn so the piece you make will be best hung on a wall. We will have yarn available for you - but if you would like to use something specific, you are welcome to bring size 4 acrylic yarn. 
  
  
• Instructions on how to finish your piece will be provided at the end of the class and you can finish it and then pick it up after it dries - or finish it at home.
  
  
• Depending on the size of the piece you create, you may or may not complete your rug during this class. All class attendees also receive a coupon for 100% off a ticket to our monthly-ish open tufting studio session. That's three additional hours of tufting that you can use to either finish your project from class - or start something new. We're concerned about your little hands and how they'll react to you gripping a power tool for multiple hours in a row. It's best to split up large projects to prevent injuries.

If you cannot attend class for any reason, we will offer an exchange to another class currently on our schedule up to 48 hours before the class. After that time, no refunds or exchanges are issued out of respect for our teachers who purchase and prepare supplies based on the number of attendees.

Our current Covid protocol is that anyone attending an event can email us at Info@uglybaby.shop to let us know they prefer that people wear masks up to 72 hours before the event begins. Your request is anonymous to all the other participants.

Attendees will receive an email before the class to let them know If we will be requiring masks be worn.

About the Instructor

Rosalie Gale is most well known for co-inventing Shower Art: waterproof art to hang in your shower. She and her husband, Doug, own Ugly Baby and have been making a living creating really dumb art pieces for longer than anyone really expected.
